Care Packs For Girls
I’d like to share an exciting drive launched by two Leeton High School students who are participating in the Youth Frontiers Mentoring Program. Youth Frontiers Mentoring Program pairs students up with professionals in the local community to encourage community engagement and involvement. The groups are encouraged to develop projects and over the course of the program the students build self confidence, learn life skills and get their first experience engaging with the wider community.
This team are working closely with their mentor to raise funds and supplies to assemble care packs for young women in need. Have a quick look at their page and see if you might be able to support their cause.
Our names are Hannah Pianca and Taylor Moore and we are students at Leeton High School. We have been lucky enough to be involved with the NSW Youth Frontiers Mentoring Program facilitated by GetSet Inc. Over the last couple of months we have been working closely with our Mentor, Krystal from The Personnel Group and have decided to make care packs for underprivileged girls in our community.
We are seeking donations to make these packs. We are looking for a number of items to fill these packs and if you could help out with even one of these items your donation would be greatly appreciated!
Some of the items we are looking for are:
- Body Wash or Soap
- Sanitary Products
- Deodorant
- Shampoo and Conditioner
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- SPF lip balm
- Hair Ties
Donations will be accepted at The Personnel Group, 52 Kurrajong Avenue. Alternatively, get in touch with our mentor Krystal Roden and she will organise pick up.
Please get behind our cause, we believe it is a great one!!
