GetSet is seeking a motivated First Year Fitter Apprentice to join our respected host employer in Griffith, a company with a strong reputation in the Engineering and Metal Fabrication industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in fitting and machining while gaining hands-on experience in a busy and diverse workshop environment. You’ll work alongside qualified tradespeople who will coach and mentor you as you develop practical skills and technical knowledge.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend TAFE over a three-year period. You will earn while you learn and receive structured, nationally recognised training.
We’re looking for candidates who:
Are physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
Have strong literacy, numeracy, and mechanical aptitude
Can confidently perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, formulas, and measurements
Are motivated, reliable, and committed to completing a full apprenticeship
Demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in mechanical systems
