Are you in high school and wondering what options are available for learning a trade while completing your HSC? We are seeking expressions of interest for school based apprenticeships in either the electrotechnology or engineering mechanical (fitter turner) that could allow you to do just that.
A school based apprenticeship is designed around continuing your high school education while beginning an apprenticeship simultaneously. The apprenticeship begins for students in year 11 and will run for both year 11 and 12. You will work, go to school and attend TAFE or another learning centre for your training and get started with your career before you even complete your HSC.
On the job you’ll be building experience with your employer, gaining hands on experience while learning the trade. The educational and employment process is lighter and designed around completing your studies in high school. Upon completing year 12, you will transition to full time work and continue your studies.
If you’re keen to start a career in electrotechnology or engineering mechanical or would like to learn more about a school based apprenticeship, contact us today at (02) 6953 8727 or click this link. Starting a career may not be as difficult as you think.
