Vacancy: Stage 1 Electrical Apprentice (Mining Industry)
Location: Onsite (mine site) with nearby accommodation provided
Employment Type: Full-time Apprenticeship

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated first-year Electrical Apprentice to join our team working in a mining environment. This role offers hands on experience with site electrical systems, equipment maintenance, fault-finding, and general support for qualified electricians. The successful applicant will work onsite and be required to stay in nearby accommodation during rostered shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist tradespeople with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
• Learn and follow electrical safety procedures and mine-site protocols
• Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment under supervision
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Follow instructions and work cooperatively within a team

Requirements:

• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade
• Ability to work and live onsite during roster periods
• Commitment to learning and following safety procedures
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing
• Current driver’s licence (preferred but not always essential)
• Completed Year 12 or equivalent schooling
