About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated first-year Electrical Apprentice to join our team working in a mining environment. This role offers hands on experience with site electrical systems, equipment maintenance, fault-finding, and general support for qualified electricians. The successful applicant will work onsite and be required to stay in nearby accommodation during rostered shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist tradespeople with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
Learn and follow electrical safety procedures and mine-site protocols
Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment under supervision
Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
Follow instructions and work cooperatively within a team
Requirements:
Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade
Ability to work and live onsite during roster periods
Commitment to learning and following safety procedures
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing
Current driver’s licence (preferred but not always essential)
Completed Year 12 or equivalent schooling
