GetSet is seeking an experienced Qualified Fitter to join our highly respected host employer in Griffith, a leader in the Engineering and Metal Fabrication industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified professional to join a skilled team that produces high-quality work for a range of local and international clients. You will work in a diverse and fast-paced workshop environment, carrying out mechanical fitting tasks, maintenance, repairs, and precision work with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Use a range of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
Conduct measurements, alignments, and adjustments with accuracy
Work collaboratively with tradespeople and apprentices
Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and operational standards
We’re looking for candidates who:
Are fully qualified in Fitting and Machining
Have strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in a workshop environment
Are confident interpreting drawings, measurements, and technical information
Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Communicate effectively and work well within a team
Are reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in producing high-quality work
