Specialising in high-quality signage solutions for commercial and retail clients, our host employer delivers everything from sign fabrication and vinyl application to vehicle graphics and installation. About the Role
This hands-on apprenticeship provides the opportunity to learn all aspects of sign making — from production and fabrication through to on-site installation.
Working alongside experienced signwriters and installers, you will develop practical skills across a wide range of signage applications while contributing to high-quality projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality results.
What You Will Learn
Vinyl cutting and application
Vehicle wraps and graphics
Sign fabrication using acrylic, aluminium, and composite materials
Digital printing and finishing techniques
Basic design file preparation
Sign installation methods
Safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment
Job preparation and workflow processes
Key Responsibilities
Production & Workshop
Assist with the manufacture and assembly of signage
Prepare materials including cutting, laminating, weeding, and finishing
Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Follow job instructions and production specifications
Installation Support
Assist with on-site signage installations
Prepare and load tools and materials
Support vehicle wrap preparation and application
Ensure high-quality finishes on all installations
Learning & Development
Complete apprenticeship training requirements
Learn from experienced tradespeople and mentors
Develop technical and practical skills
Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to improve
Health & Safety
Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Use tools and equipment safely
